Stefy / The Orange Album

I feel strange, sort of sick. I haven't felt this way in at least 16 years, maybe more. I pull myself up and look around. No blood. That's a good sign. No puke. Also a good sign. I appear to be fully clothed. Not what I was hoping for, but it rules out a whole segment of possibilities. So why do I feel this way? Wait... what's this on the computer screen? Hmmm... here it is... the screen contains a hint. I must've only been out for a couple minutes because I clearly remember putting Stefy's new CD entitled The Orange Album on to play. And I'm now listening to a track called Hey School Boy. It's only track #2 on the album. Okay, so I was listening to Stefy, but what happened?
Ahhh... now I remember... it's coming back to me. The opening synthesizer on track #1, Chelsea, sounded so much like the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) that it sent me into an 80's music seizure and I must've blacked out. I think the last time that happened to me was in late 1989, just before I discovered Nirvana's album Bleach. The truth is, I lived through the 80's in my late teens and early twenties, and I just couldn't wait for that style of music to end. And I had to wait a full decade for music like Stefy's to go away, so I really don't want it to return. Ever.
(Alright, I realize I'm not being completely fair and even a little closed minded. But seriously, this music it not for me. Please don't make me listen to it.)
