Pete's Pick: Kooks

23-Jan-2007 07:47 pm Contributed by: pete Pete's Picks
The Kooks debut album Inside In/Inside Out has some late 60's influences such as The Kinks, and could be described as a blend of many current bands like Sam Roberts and The Libertines with a bit of The Strokes, or something like that. The album is pretty darn good, with short tight songs - 15 tracks and just 44 minutes. For the most part, it's just easy, happy listening, but the last song, Do You Love Me Still, has that certain special something. I'm not usually a sucker for love songs, but for whatever reason I like this one. Check out The Kooks on MySpace.
